I am a silk artist and I create one-of-a-kind hand dyed silk scarves and accessories. Each piece begins as white silk and is overdyed a number of times using the multiple immersion method. Many pieces are further enhanced with stenciling or painting with thickened dyes or fabric paints. I exhibit my work through craft fairs and shows locally and at the Cape. In addition, I am an art therapist and I taught workshops through a grant from Baystate's Rays of Hope Walk/Run towards a cure for breast cancer for over twenty years. I enjoy sharing my love of art and craft through teaching as well as creating my own work and exploring new mediums.
