I’m a self-taught Artist living in Granville, MA. I began my painting adventures, around 1990, where I started to paint with inspiration coming from the Famous Bob Ross and his “HAPPY LITTLE TREES” When I saw him on PBS – I just had to get his supplies and paint along with him – In those days I would record the show on VHS tapes, then play them back late at night after children were in bed, pause, try his techniques, hit play, continue on, pause, etc. - and was then fascinated with my results. I put painting aside for nearly 25 years while busy raising a family. My husband was in the U.S. Navy & was deployed more than he was home in his 20 year service to our country. At that time, I ran a home daycare, and I didn’t have time for painting, I was busy caring for my 3 children and 4 other children every day, When bedtime came, I was exhausted, so art took a backseat. In 2015, I re-connected with my paints & brushes, after a good friend asked me … Why aren’t you still painting? She suggested that I try acrylic as a medium, as the cleanup is easy compared to oils. And with that…I went shopping and bought some supplies, (okay – actually a lot of supplies), and I began painting again – I am learning with every painting I do. Although I never went to school of any kind for art, I am enjoy it very much, and I feel like I am developing my own style as I go along. With my 3 children now raised, and having lots of free time being now retired from working, I enjoy painting a variety of subjects –birds, landscapes, trees, plants, flowers & animals. I spend “A LOT “ of my free time doing what I enjoy… Painting !
