< Back KATHY GLISTA Mediums / Interests: GLASS Kathy Glista is a fused glass artist. She developed a passion for glass when she took a class in glass blowing at Snow Farm in Williamsburg, MA. Although she thoroughly enjoyed the class, she knew she did not have the strength or resources to continue, so looked for other ways to work with glass. She discovered glass fusing and began making jewelry in a small microwave kiln. She taught herself and after a couple of years took a class in glass fusing. Not long after she met a woman who was selling her kiln. It all fell into place, and she was able to get a used kiln and set up a workshop in her home. She enjoys trying new techniques and never makes two identical pieces. She doesn’t make glass to sell it, she sells glass so she can make more. Her real passion is sharing the joy of glass creations and some day she would like to teach classes. glasscreationsbykathy@gmail.com Next
